Reward Points & Trade Discount


Q - What are Reward Points?
A - Reward points are our way of saying thank you! Every customer gets reward points which they can use to make their next purchase cheaper.

Q - £5 off, how does that work?
A - When you register your account is given 100 reward points. This is equal to £5, these points are redeemable after your first purchase. Our prices are already the cheapest on the internet, but to make us your number 1 we like to give a little back to our customers. So if you place a second order with us you get £5 off that order. You can only use your reward points if you are spending at least £15 on spare parts. You will earn more points on your first order ready to use on your second order, and so on and so on.

Q - I already have an account, have I missed out?
A - Absolutely not! When we setup the reward system we made sure we gave every existing customer on the shop 100 reward points, we don't want anyone to miss out.

Q - How do I earn reward points?
A - Each time you purchase a spare part you earn reward points, it is that simple. There are a couple of things to note:
  • You only earn points based on the cost of the spare part and not on the total spent, shipping costs aren't taken into account.
  • If you use reward points to pay for an item, the amount in value you redeem corresponds to a reduction in the amount of new points earned.

Q - How much are they worth?
A - You earn 1 point for every £1 you spend, 100 points are worth £5.

Q - What can I do with Reward Points?
A - You can redeem your points and get money off your next order. They can't be applied retrospectively and there is no cash alternative. Make sure you apply your reward points at checkout by ticking the box during checkout. You can only use your reward points if you are spending at least £15 on spare parts. Furthermore you can only apply 700 points at any one transaction, this is equal to £35.

Q - Do you offer a discount to repair technicians?
A - Yes we offer an amazing discount to our trade partners. We offer a basic 10% discount which on top of any points you may earn brings it to around 15% discount! To qualify for our trade discount please contact us including your business address, trading name, years trading and your estimated number of repairs each week. We review each request on a case by case basis and always try to offer our colleagues in the trade the best price possible.

Searching


Q - What is an EasySearch ID?
A - Each product has an EasySearch ID, if you type in the EasySearch ID into our search box it will take you straight to that product. It makes it quicker to find products and share products with other people, instead of a long URL, you can email or facebook your friend and link them using the EasySearch ID www.ftvp.co.uk/ES734.

Q - How can I search for the part I need?
A - At the top of every page is our search box. Use this box to search our entire inventory for the spare part you need.

Q - What should I type to find the part I need?
A - You can search by your TV model and compare the parts visually against what you are searching for, or you can type the part number in to get all parts matching that part number.

Also please note that you can do partial part number searches, sometimes a part number is obscured or damaged. Also it can be worth removing the last letter or digit from the search as the last letter or number is often just a revision change.

Also you can do wildcard searches, for example you could write le40 inverter and see all inverters from a Samsung le40 TV

Finally you can try something clever to locate a part, try using or. For example 42PC1D ZSUS or 6870QZH will show all 42PC1D ZSUS we have and also all boards matching 6870QZH.

Q - I'm not sure what I need, can you help?
A - We try our best to advise you as to what you need via our contact form, however, sometimes it is impossible to diagnose a fault without testing the TV. We do have a forum available where you can post a question and ask the community for help. Remember you can always take your TV to a local repair shop for a diagnosis, be sure to mention us though.

Q - Can you help me diagnose the fault?
A - We will help you try to diagnose the fault as best we can, but please remember LCD and Plasma TVs operate at very high voltages, if you are unsure of what you are doing, please contact a qualified service professional.

Q - The part is out of stock, what should I do?
A - The first thing to do is to search our website to see if we have the part listed for another TV. If the part can't be found in stock elsewhere on the shop, then use our Back in stock Notification system. This enables you to be informed as soon as the item comes back into stock.

Q - Do I need an account to order?
A - Yes you need to register on our website to order. Once you have registered you are able to purchase spare parts online, you are also given access to our discussion forum where you can ask for help and talk to our engineers.

Q - Why do you need to know my date of birth?
A - We need to know your age as we only allow adults (i.e. over 18) to purchase from us. TVs operate at high voltages and we think that they shouldn't be worked on unless you are an adult. We don't use your date of birth for anything at all, it is used by the shop to automatically decide if you are over 18.

Q - What is your Price Beater Service?
A - We will try our best to beat the total cost of purchase! We will try to beat the total cost as the cost of the part only shows half the story, we will make it cheaper to do the repair than anyone else! Due to us having so many products it isn't possible to always ensure we have the lowest price on the internet (we always try to make sure we do), so we offer you the ability to contact us and request that we lower our price to beat their price. While we can't guarantee to beat a price if it is far below the actual market value of the part, we will often lower our price (as many of our customers have told us, they would rather buy from us than from other sellers) as far as we can.

Q - Will you price match eBay sellers?
A - The majority of eBay sellers don't have the overheads of a proper business and might sell the occasional part in their spare time or as a second job. We have staff and costs to pay (as well as a very hungry baby to feed) and as such we can't always sell a PSU for £10 as some have on eBay. However, we do look at each request on a case by case basis, so please ask and we will do our best.

Q - What courier do you use?
A - We use Royal Mail for all UK orders and we also use Royal Mail for all international orders under 2Kg. Our international customers have the option of selecting ParcelForce for their delivery. We offer three different postage tiers with ParcelForce, we offer either Global Value which is the cheapest ParcelForce option, but has no tracking. We offer Global Express and Global Priority which offer tracking every step of the way.

Q - How much does it cost?
A - The cost is based on the weight of the order, the destination country and the shipping method chosen. The best way to find out the cost of shipping is to add your spare part to your shopping cart then look at the Shipping cost tool at the bottom of the shopping cart page.

Q - When will my order be despatched?
A - All orders are picked from the warehouse on the day of order and packed the same day. We aim to despatch the order the same day, however during busy periods your order may not ship until the next working day. Please understand that while we make every effort to despatch same day, we can't guarantee this. We only despatch on weekdays.

Q - How long does it take to get here?
A - Shipping times very based on shipping method chosen and the destination country.

Special Delivery Next Day 9AM - For UK only, the item will be delivered before 9am the next working day.

Special Delivery Next Day 1PM - For UK only, the item will be delivered before 1pm the next working day.

International Signed For - The target time is within three working days to Western Europe, four working days to Eastern Europe and five working days for the rest of the world. However, International Signed For is not a guaranteed courier service and times may vary.

AirSure - All Airsure® mail receives priority handling in the UK and abroad. Two days to Western Europe, three days to Eastern Europe and four days for the rest of the world. However, Airsure® is not a guaranteed courier service and times may vary.

Global Express - Next working day to Europe, USA and Canada. All other destinations two working days.

Global Priority - Three working days to Europe and USA. All other destinations four working days.

Global Value - Europe up to 5 working days. All other destinations up to 10 working days.

Q - Can I track my item?
A - International Signed For and AirSure are only tracked to the UK border. Parcel Force Global Value has no tracking available, Global Priority and Global Express offer tracking all the way to your door.

Q - How can I pay?
A - You can pay for your item using your PayPal balance or your Debit or Credit Card through our secure payment merchant PayPal.

Q - Can I pay over the phone?
A - Yes you can pay over the phone, we suggest that you register on the shop before calling to make payment, we need the same details you would fill in during registration. We have found it is quicker for you to fill in the information than for you to relay the information over the phone for us to fill in.
Of course we can create you an account over the phone, but if you are at a computer it would be quicker if you already had filled in your delivery details before calling.

A - It is very safe to pay online, we selected PayPal for their excellent security record as well as enabling you to be able to pay using your PayPal balance.

Q - Where do you get your parts from?
A - Most of our parts come from LCD or Plasma TVs that have a damaged screen or have failed in some way. We work with various companies to ensure that all the parts from the TV are either recycled or reused, nothing ends up in landfill. We source our stock from different sources, but we don't recycle rubbish, we only sell the highest quality parts that have passed our thorough testing procedures.

Q - Are your parts tested?
A - Each spare part is passed through a thorough testing process, however, sometimes we miss a fault, our current defective part rate is under 3% which isn't bad for our industry.

Q - Are your parts new or used?
A - All of our parts have been used at some point in their life, therefore none of our parts are new, however all parts carry a DOA guarantee, we guarantee that the part will arrive fault free and in working order, if for any reason it doesn't you can return the item for an exchange or a full refund.

A - We’ll beat any distributor price. We offer discounts and special rates to frequent buyers and repair shops. All of our orders ship SAME DAY if purchased by 17:00 GMT (Monday – Friday).
